Water fight in Lebanese parliament

Published: Updated:

A brawl nearly erupted Monday after water bottles were thrown and obscene insults were hurled, during a meeting of Lebanese Parliament’s Public Works, Transport, Energy and Water Committee.

Lawmakers Ziad Aswad, from MP Michel Aoun’s Change and Reform Bloc, and Jamal Jarrah, from former Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s Future Bloc, came close to a physical encounter before being held back during a heated debate on the country’s electricity crisis and corruption's accusations.
