Arab coalition Spokesman: we did not receive Houthi pledge on ceasefire

Spokesman for the Arab coalition forces Brig. Gen. Ahmed Asiri has said that operations in Yemen will continue for the time being given that they have not received any formal Houthi promises on a ceasefire agreement, Asiri told Al Arabiya News Channel’s Arabic language website.

Asiri also said coalition forces will continue to implement military operations against the Houthi militias and forces loyal to ousted former president Ali Abdullah Saleh in order to achieve the objectives of restoring legitimacy and stability in Yemen through U.N. Resolution 2216.
