Why did Saudi execute Nimr al-Nimr?

While the statements of Iran and the protest around it after executing terrorists in Saudi Arabia including Nimr al-Nimr continue, the facts on the ground reveal that he led a series of terrorist acts that threaten stability and target the security of the Kingdom, not to mention his statements and speeches; which are full of hatred, incitement and stirring up sedition.
