A court in Abu Dhabi issued a death sentence in absentia against four Emirati escapees’ defendants in the case known as "ISIS cell", which is related to participating in terrorist acts in Syria.
The court also issued sentences against seven other defendants, including a Mauritanian, a Syrian and a Bahraini. The sentences ranged between innocence and imprisonment for ten years. In the case of joining the Houthi group, the court sentenced in presence two Yemenis and a Omani to ten years in prison. The court also acquitted three other Yemenis.
