Shipments of food aid arrived to the airport of Ibrik, East of Libya, from Saudi Arabia and the UAE, in response to a request made by the local authorities there to face the deficit in providing loafs of bread.
The eastern region in Libya has been facing a severe crisis in providing bread, after the Central Bank of Libya had banned giving permits to purchase and import the basic foodstuffs. This situation prompted the local residents to ask for the help of General Khalifah Haftar. KSA and UAE quickly responded to the Libyan request. They opened an air bridge and sent a cargo plane loaded with flour.
