Kuwait MP being sued by Saudi faces punishment in own country

First Deputy of the Council of Ministers, the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Hamad Al-Sabah, confirmed that Kuwait rejects any insult directed to Saudi Arabia from anyone, pointing out that the necessary and adopted actions in the country's institutions were taken.

Al-Sabah also said that the Saudi-Kuwaiti relations are strong, and that the Kingdom is the strategic fort of the State of Kuwait. From his part, the Saudi ambassador to Kuwait Dr. Abdul Aziz Al-Fayez, said that the immunity of the Kuwaiti MP Abdul Hamid Dashti will not be an obstacle for the continuation of the lawsuit filed against him by the Saudi Embassy due to his repeated insults against the Kingdom, pointing out that he expects that the MP's immunity will soon be lifted.
