Saudi-Egypt: Big deals in region’s largest visit

With the Saudi king's visit to Egypt, a new page is added to Saudi Egyptian historical ties record. The visit, which lasts five days, is the longest visit by a Saudi monarch and it is the largest in the history of any two countries in the region as observers said.

An official delegation of senior princes and officials accompanying King Salman. Deputy Crown Prince and Defense Minister Prince Mohammed bin Salman along with fourteen ministers from several ministries of service and economy and development, in addition to eight officials ranked as ministers or deputy ministers were in the company of Saudi king.

Great importance is accorded to the Saudi royal visit to Egypt . It was the result of a continuous effort of the Egyptian Saudi Coordination Council, which was founded by King Salman and President al-Sisi last November.

Five consecutive meetings under the supervision of the Deputy crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and Prime Minister Ismail Sharif held in the past months.

Bimonthly meetings between a number of ministers of the two countries, and meetings which discussed ways to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries.

That was crowned today with the King Salman visit to Cairo and the conclusion of agreements that emphasize the depth of the strategic relations in various fields between the two countries.
