Watch: Raid destroys ISIS convoy near Mosul

Published: Updated:

Iraqi warplanes have destroyed a convoy of Islamic State (ISIS) vehicles south of Mosul, the country's defense ministry said.

The air strike occurred in a desert area near the town of Qayyara, about 60 km (40 miles) south of Mosul, a city currently occupied by the jihadist militants. The ministry said the convoy was fleeing the city, considered to be the militants' central stronghold in Iraq.
