Saudi Ambassador to UN Abdullah Moallimi said that “The Houthi rebel militias transformed many schools into military barracks and used thousands of human shields and planted tens of thousands of mines, which caused the killing and disfiguring of children, terrorizing civilians, they carried out attacks against the borders and the territory of my country, killing more than 500 civilians and the displacement of thousands of people and the destruction of many of civil buildings.”
He added that his country’s delegation “condemns with the most possible strongest terms the recruitment and use of children by the Houthi rebel militias. The coalition forces returned in the sixth of June, all children recruited by the al-Houthi militias and rebel allies who were found carrying weapons, along the Saudi border and handed over unconditionally to the Yemeni government agencies in order to reunite them with their families.”
