Al-Bashir: Will go to UN if Egypt refuses talks over Hala’ib

In an exclusive interview with Al Arabiya’s GM Turki al-Dakhil, Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir said “Hala’ib will remain a Sudanese triangle, because under the dual British-Egyptian rule, the first elections in Sudan included Hala’ib, which was one of Sudanese constituencies and elections are a sovereign act of the first class, and we will resort to the Security Council if Egypt refuses the negotiation.
