Why are Houthis changing school curriculums in Yemen?

The Yemeni government says that the Houthi militias received financial support from UNICEF for printing schoolbooks back in 2015. This prompted the government and other countries in the region to criticize the aid body for funding the militia, who had been changing the contents of the books and making tweaks to school curriculums in areas under their control.
