British slain soldier shown ordering kababs at his favorite restaurant

Published: Updated:

Two days before his brutal murder at the hand of an Islamist extremist, veteran British soldier Lee Rigby was shown by ITV British channel ordering kababs and pizza at a Turkish restaurant in London.

The 25-year-old Afghan war veteran didn’t know that he will be butchered on Wednesday by a 28-year-old Londoner Michael Adebolajo, a British-born convert to Islam.

Rigby, who left a wife and a two-year-old baby, was a regular customer to Kebab Ye. He bought his kababs and pizza almost three times a week from the restaurant, 100-meter away from his home in London.

Workers at the restaurant said that they were accustomed to Rigby and that they even allowed him use the employees-only washroom while they prepare his order.

One of the employees at the restaurant expressed his sadness over Rigby’s killing. He said, “It is quite shocking to serve someone so regularly and find out that he was murdered.”
