GCC calls for immediate ceasefire in Gaza, aid delivery
The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassem Mohammed al-Budaiwi, called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and the swift delivery of humanitarian aid to the region.
The call was made during the 159th Ministerial Council meeting of the GCC in Riyadh, which convened on Sunday.

GCC foreign ministers also held separate discussions in Riyadh with their counterparts from Egypt, Jordan, and Morocco.
The meetings “discussed the serious developments in Gaza Strip and the city of Rafah, the military escalation against unarmed civilians, and the importance of an immediate ceasefire to ensure the return of security and stability to Gaza Strip,” according to the Saudi Press Agency.

“Participants also discussed joint action to create conditions to arrive at a comprehensive and just peace in a way that preserves the rights of the Palestinian people, and establishes a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital,” SPA added.
