Saudi King Salman to receive treatment for lung inflammation

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman will undergo treatment for a lung inflammation, the official Saudi Press Agency reported on Sunday.

King Salman was taken for a medical evaluation at the Royal Clinic in the al-Salam Palace in Jeddah due to “high temperature and joint pain,” where the medical team diagnosed the inflammation, SPA added.

The team has recommended a therapy program that includes antibiotics.

King Salman, 88, was last admitted to hospital in April.

The custodian of Islam’s holiest sites became ruler in 2015.
