Thriller seekers should brace themselves as Saudi Arabia’s first of its kind theme park and entertainment destination, Six Flags Qiddiya City, is opening its doors this December.

Starting December 31st, Six Flags Qiddiya City will open its doors for visitors to enjoy a range of games and record-breaking roller coasters.


What is Six Flags Qiddiya City?


Six Flags Qiddiya City is Qiddiya City’s inaugural entertainment destination that will bring thrills and unforgettable experiences for families, friends and adventure-seekers.

It is the first Six Flags theme park outside North America.

“It will feature 28 rides, including record-breaking experiences, such as Falcons Flight, the world’s tallest, fastest, and longest roller coaster; Iron Rattler, the world’s tallest tilt coaster, and Spitfire, the world’s tallest inverted coaster,” according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The park ensures entertainment for all generations, with 18 rides specially designed for families and younger entertainment-seekers.

“Six Flags Qiddiya City not only opens its door to the public for the first time, it starts to showcase everything Qiddiya City stands for: Bold imagination, unforgettable experiences, and a new benchmark for global entertainment,” Park President of Six Flags Qiddiya City Brian Machamer said according to SPA.

Qiddiya City is Qiddiya Investment Company’s inaugural new global destination built on the foundations of play, according to SPA. Located at the heart of the Tuwaiq Mountains, just 40 minutes from Riyadh, the vibrant master-planned city brings entertainment, sports, and culture together in a way never seen before.

The city is designed to host some of the world’s biggest sports competitions, festivals, concerts, and cultural events.

Adult ticket prices for Six Flags Qiddiya City start at $87 (SAR 325), children’s ticket prices start at SAR275, and infants under four can access the park for free.

Pricing is inclusive of all rides, whilst guests can enhance their visit with the Unlimited GoFast Pass, offering priority access to selected rides.

The park also champions accessibility where it is designed to be accessible to all guests, including individuals with special needs, senior citizens, and their companions.

Discounted tickets for these guests are available for purchase exclusively at the park with prices starting from SAR75.

How to get there?


Guests wanting to visit the park can do so by car, taxi, or shuttle. The park is expected to open daily at 4:00 pm.

“Drivers can simply enter ‘Six Flags Qiddiya City’ in their navigation app and park at the designated area, where complimentary shuttles will transport them to the theme park entrance,” according to the SPA.

Free queue shuttles running from Jeddah Metro Station from 3:00 pm for those arriving by public transport will be available and metro schedules are available on the Riyadh Public Transport website, and only guests with valid tickets may board.
