Saudi Arabia approves budget for 2026

Saudi Arabia’s cabinet on Tuesday approved the Kingdom’s budget for 2026 with total expenditures amounting to 1.313 trillion riyals ($350 billion), the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Public revenues are estimated at about 1.147 trillion riyals ($306 billion), and the projected deficit stands at approximately 165 billion riyals ($44 billion).

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said after the budget’s approval that since Vision 2030 was launched there had been improved growth of non-oil activities and a boosted role of the private sector.

The Kingdom’s economy is projected to grow 4.6 percent in 2026 with a budget deficit amounting to 3.3 percent of GDP, the finance ministry said.

Public debt is expected to reach 1.622 trillion riyals ($432.12 billion), or 32.7 percent of GDP, it added.
