Elon Musk’s father expresses joy over Trump’s victory, says he will solve world conflicts
Trump’s victory in the presidential election will have a positive effect on the security situation in the world, putting an end to numerous conflicts, Errol Musk, the father of billionaire businessman Elon Musk, told Al Arabiya News.
“There will be no more terrible wars, the Ukraine conflict will come to an end very soon, the Middle East conflict will be resolved very soon, because the people that were in charge before had no intention of solving any of these wars or helping to stop them in any way,” he said during an interview with Sarah Coates and Tom Burges Watson on W News.

‘A turning point’ for Elon
As for his son Elon, he expressed joy in his son’s support for Trump calling it a “turning point.”
Although he had originally voted for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election and Joe Biden in the 2020 election, Elon Musk – the world’s richest man – became a staunch supporter of Donald Trump in 2024 and one his major campaign donors.
“I’m very happy with Elon’s progress. It was only a few years ago that Elon was calling me evil for supporting Trump. He, in his own way, has learned the hard way that Trump is the much better way to go,” the billionaire’s father said.
Reuniting a divided country
When asked whether Trump once again in office could contribute to bringing together a country widely described as “deeply divided,” the elder Musk implied that Trump had already accomplished said task.
“He’s already done it.”
Musk also lauded Trump’s other approaches on domestic and international issues, saying that the president-elect would be able to solve them.
“He’s a businessman. He’s very smart... I’ve been in the same career myself and that is property development and improving bad areas in cities and so on. I mean, he turned the whole West Side of Manhattan from degraded railway sites into some of the most beautiful buildings you can ever imagine.”
‘Unfit’ opponents
As for the incumbent President Joe Biden and his current Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, he described them as unfit.
Biden is “ridiculous,” Musk said in the interview, and accused him of selling “secrets to America’s enemies” without further elaborating.
“And as for this woman, I mean anyone with the slightest IQ could listen to this woman say anything and… it’s a joke,” he continued.
