Russia says citizen detained in Singapore at request of US in cybercrime case

A Russian citizen was detained on Friday in Singapore at the request of the United States which accuses the individual of being involved in cybercrime, Moscow’s embassy in the southeast Asian island country said.

It said the US wanted Singapore to extradite the Russian national and that the embassy was in touch with people close to the detained individual.
