Brian Hook, Washington’s special representative for Iran, told Al Arabiya English that Tehran poses a threat to peace and security and that the Trump administration has plans to deter it.
“Iran is a threat to peace and security in addition to its nuclear activities. There are ballistic missile activities, cyber-attacks, terrorism and terror financing, so we are taking a comprehensive plan to confront these activities and we will do the sanctions and other resources we have to deter Iran,” Hook told Al Arabiya English.
“The administration will impose new sanctions and we expect that Iran will try to escape sanctions. If it does, we will impose more sanctions, whether on Iran or on Iran,” he said. Other countries that deal with it”.
Hook also pointed out that there is coordination with Saudi Arabia and the UAE in maintaining price stability and ensuring demand for oil after the oil sanctions imposed by Washington on Iran.
