National Center for cybersecurity in the Saudi Interior Ministry affirmed on Tuesday that the virus risk "Shimon 2" is still continuing.
In a statement to the newspaper al-Sharq al-Awsat, the executive director of strategy and communication at the National Center for cybersecurity said that “the issue of protection must be sustainable and ongoing.” Adding that the center addressed the governmental bodies and vital institutions on the prevention of the occurrence of any cyberattack.
“The threats do not stop ... [Shimon 2] did not end,” he said.
Furthermore, he stressed that there is a need to pay attention to servers in some government agencies.
He said that the center has been working on several issues, including the virus, which has hit a number of government agencies.
