A video of a friendly and humorous moment between Saudi Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman and US President Donald Trump has gone viral on social media.
During their meeting in the afternoon, the two were sitting with expressions of satisfaction visible on their faces, when Trump pointed out to reporters, saying: “They are nice people,” and Mohammed bin Salman responded, “I hope so.”
It was clear that the meeting between the two leaders was not a press conference, since journalists did not ask questions. The deputy crown prince is among the first Muslim and Arab official to be received by the newly elected President.
During their meeting, they discussed important issues and emphasized on strengthening strategic relations between Saudi and the US and stressed the need to combat terrorism.
The Trump administration confirmed its commitment to enhance cooperation with Saudi Arabia in defense and security-related areas.
