Social media debate: Should Morocco ban the burqa?

Social media users are debating the controversy surrounding an alleged ban on the sale of burqa in the north African country, Al Arabiya.Net reported.

The debate began after Moroccan media outlets reported on Monday about the alleged ban, stating that tailors and retailers have reportedly received notices from the Interior Ministry, urging them to stop the sale of burqas.

On social media some users said the move was an “intruder on the Moroccan social culture,” however there has been no official comment from authorities.
