Dubai’s Burj Khalifa marks 10th anniversary
The world’s tallest tower, the Burj Khalifa, celebrated its 10th anniversary on Saturday.
To celebrate its 10th year, the tower put on a number of events throughout the day and several displays using its LED illuminated façade, the largest and longest in the world.
A tweet from the official Burj Khalifa Twitter account showcased these celebrations:

The tower was developed by Dubai-based property developer Emaar and holds a number of world records in addition to its height and LED display, including longest traveling elevator, highest occupied floor, and highest outdoor observation deck.
Construction of the 828-meter tall tower, three times the length of the Eiffel Tower, began in 2004 and opened to the public on January 4, 2010. It has since become one of the city’s most popular attractions.
Dubai Crown Prince Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum posted this dramatic drone video of the Burj Khalifa to his Twitter account the day before the anniversary.
