Saudi Arabia lights up in UAE colors in honor of national day

Saudi Arabia’s city of Riyadh lit up in the colors of the United Arab Emirates’ flag in honor of the latter’s 45th national day celebrations.

Photos of the iconic Kingdom Centre tower in Riyadh were widely shared on social media as other building across the Saudi capital also paid tribute.

An Arabic hashtag roughly translated to “Your strength is our strength” went viral in both the UAE and Saudi Arabia as people began celebrating the national day taking place on Friday.

The Burj Khalifa, the tallest tower in the world, was lit up on Thursday night with both countries’ flags.
