Saudi Arabia on Tuesday condemned recent terrorist plots in Morocco thwarted by the authorities.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s condemnation and denunciation in the strongest terms of the terrorist plots that sought to undermine public order and the safety of individuals and property in the brotherly Kingdom of Morocco,” a statement read.

It stressed Saudi Arabia’s solidarity with Morocco and its “unequivocal rejection of all forms of terrorism, extremism, and attempts to undermine the security and stability of Morocco and its brotherly people.”

Moreover, the statement lauded the efforts and efficiency by Morocco’s security authorities, wishing the country and its people “continued security, stability, and prosperity.”

Moroccan authorities said on Monday that they had conducted raids across the country, arresting 10 people involved in “foiled terrorist plots” who are linked to ISIS group in the Sahel.
