The military’s General Command said Iran was continuing what it described as a “systematic hostile approach” through attacks targeting civilians in Bahrain.
It said the Iranian aerial threats were intercepted and destroyed on July 17 due to the military’s high operational preparedness and combat readiness.
The Bahrain Defense Force said all its units and branches remained at the highest level of readiness and were prepared to defend the kingdom.
Authorities urged residents to exercise caution and avoid approaching any unidentified or suspicious objects that could be debris from the intercepted attacks. The public was also asked to report such objects immediately.
The military said the Royal Field Engineering unit was fully prepared to safely handle any debris to protect citizens and residents.
It condemned what it described as Iran’s deliberate use of missiles and drones to target civilians and private property, saying such attacks constituted a serious violation of international humanitarian law.
The General Command also praised the military’s personnel for their vigilance and advanced combat readiness in carrying out their duty to defend Bahrain.
