The Israeli army said that its fighter jets struck “many” Palestinian militant group Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip towns of Jabaliya, Beit Lahiya, and Zeitoun neighborhoods overnight.

The Israeli army said it’s expanding “operational activities in additional neighborhoods in the area of the Gaza Strip and conducted operational activity in the areas of Zeitoun and Jabalya in order to target terrorists and strike Hamas infrastructure,” according to an army statement.

Israeli troops “are operating against Hamas' ‘Zeitoun’ Battalion, one of Hamas' main battalions, in the neighborhood of Zeitoun in Gaza City.
