Saudi Arabia and US to kick off investment forum in Washington amid MBS visit

A Saudi-American investment forum is set to take place in Washington on November 19 during Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s visit to the United States, according to a Reuters source.

The summit will take place after the Saudi Crown Prince meets President Trump at the White House on Nov. 18, a White House official told Al Arabiya English earlier this month.

The investment forum, which will be held at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, is being organized by the Ministry of Investment of Saudi Arabia and the US–Saudi Business Council, according to US media reports.

While both leaders are expected to make appearances, neither has been confirmed as a formal participant and the event is not formally included in the Crown Prince’s official schedule, Reuters said in its report.

Deepening ties

The summit reflects deepening strategic, economic and security ties between the Kingdom and the US.

The Crown Prince’s visit and the forum are viewed as part of a broader push to advance cooperation between the two countries in key sectors such as energy, technology, infrastructure, finance and defense.

In January 2025, the Crown Prince declared that Saudi Arabia intends to invest $600 billion in the US over the next four years, with the potential to scale heading toward $1 trillion.

The investment forum offers both capitals a platform to showcase a recalibrated partnership.

For Saudi Arabia, it promises fresh capital and knowledge transfer to support the localization of industries and economic diversification. For the US, it underscores a rekindling of Gulf ties under Trump’s second term, with Saudi Arabia as a critical strategic partner for innovation, security and regional stability.
