Trump hails UN Security Council vote for his Gaza peace plan

US President Donald Trump hailed the UN Security Council’s “incredible” vote Monday in favor of his Gaza peace plan, claiming it would lead to “further Peace all over the World.”

The vote was “acknowledging and endorsing the BOARD OF PEACE, which will be chaired by me,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social.

“This will go down as one of the biggest approvals in the History of the United Nations (and) will lead to further Peace all over the World.”

The UN Security Council voted in favor of a US-drafted resolution bolstering Trump’s Gaza peace plan that includes the deployment of an international force and a path to a future Palestinian state.

There were 13 votes in favor of the text with only Russia and China abstaining -- but no vetoes.
