Here’s how ‘Furious 7’ completed unfinished Paul Walker scenes
The production team for “Furious 7” have revealed how they created a digital Paul Walker for the completion of his unfinished scenes.
Halfway through the filming of “Furious 7,” – currently a box office hit in cinemas world wide –Paul Walker tragically passed away in a car accident. His unfinished scenes were left in the hanging, with the directors left with the decision to wither scrap the movie or to continue with changes to the original plot.
However, with the help of Walkers’ brothers, Cody and Caleb, and computer-generated imagery (CGI), the film was completed and dedicated to the deceased actor.
With the use of particular lighting and certain camera angles, his brothers could act as body doubles, and together made a spitting image of the late Paul Walker.

New Zealand-based WETA Digital was the company in charge of the digital recreations, the same firm that gave us Gollum in “Lord of the Rings” and Caesar in “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.”
