Cirque du Soleil Artist dies after falling during performance

It was supposed to be a regular day at work for Yann Arnaud, but the performer fell during an acrobatic performance in Tampa Florida last Saturday.

The entertaining Cirque du Soleil show came to a tragic ending after Arnaud fell and later passed away at the hospital, according to a statement released to the American media on Monday.

In their official statement, Cirque du Soleil expressed their grief and mourned the loss of Arnaud saying: “We, as a family are all shocked and shaken by this tragedy”.

The company cancelled the following two shows which were also scheduled for Florida, and they are currently working hand in hand with the local police to figure out what caused the accident.

Daniel Lamarre, CEO of Cirque du Soleil said that Arnaud who had joined the company 15 years ago “was loved by everyone who knew him.”
