Veteran journalist May Chidiac calls on Hezbollah ‘to leave Lebanon alone’
Lebanese journalist May Chidiac called on Hezbollah to leave the Lebanese people alone and on Iran to stop interfering in Lebanon’s affairs.
“How about Iran, your weapons and the Revolutionary Guards who train you and the Houthis whom you invite to meet on our land leave us alone? Wouldn’t we be spared of all these disasters you’re dragging us to?” Chidiac wrote on Twitter in response to Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

In a televised speech on Monday, Nasrallah slammed the Arab League’s recent meeting in Cairo and called on Arab countries “to leave Lebanon” alone.
Chidiac, who was seriously injured in 2005 by a car bomb that nearly killed her, had accused the Syrian regime of trying to assassinate her.
