British boxer Amir Khan has posted a Snapchat video confirming that his Twitter account was not hacked, and that he was in fact behind a string of tweets accusing his wife Faryal Makhdoom of infidelity.

In the tweets and subsequent video, posted on Friday evening, Khan announced the collapse of his marriage and accused Makhdoom of cheating on him with heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.

The tweets were met with several fiery replies from Makhdoom. She then said that both of their Twitter accounts were hacked.

Khan denied this and in the video confirmed everything he tweeted was true, and that they would be divorcing.

In her tweets, Makhdoom pointed the finger at Khan, saying he was the one who was not loyal to her.

She wrote: “After all these years, I’ve always defended a cheat, always stuck around for him, always had his back. And I’m called a gold digger?”

In response to the claims involving him, Joshua tweeted: “I hope you guys can sort out your situation or this is a hack as we have never met!”
