MBS speaks to leaders of UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Jordan following Iran attacks

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman held phone calls with leaders of UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar and Jordan on Saturday after Iran launched attacks on several sites in the Gulf.

The Crown Prince “affirmed the Kingdom’s full solidarity with and support for their brotherly nations, and the Kingdom’s readiness to provide all its resources to assist its brothers in any measures they take in response to the brutal Iranian attacks that targeted their countries today and which undermine the security and stability of the region,” a statement published on Saudi Press Agency said.

Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince told Kuwait’s emir that the Kingdom stands by Kuwait in all its actions towards maintaining its sovereignty, according to a statement published on Kuwait News Agency (KUNA).

The Crown Prince “strongly condemned the aggression, describing it as a blatant violation of Kuwait’s sovereignty, airspace, international law, and the UN charter,” the statement added.

The Emiri Diwan also reported that the Saudi Crown Prince held a telephonic conversation with Qatar’s ruler Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani.

Earlier on Saturday, Saudi Arabia condemned Iran’s attacks on several countries in the Gulf and Middle East, including the UAE, Qatar and Bahrain.

“The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia condemns and denounces in strongest terms the blatant Iranian aggression and the flagrant violation of the sovereignty of the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the state of Qatar, the state of Kuwait, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan,” a statement by the foreign ministry read.
