MBS participates in joint call with Trump, Muslim leaders to discuss regional developments
Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman participated in a joint regional call on Saturday with US President Donald Trump during which latest developments were discussed, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Sunday.
The joint call came amid ongoing efforts to narrow the gap between the US and Iran and to reach an agreement between the two countries.

“During the call, the leaders reviewed the latest regional developments, expressing deep appreciation for President Trump’s leadership and his commitment to consultation and coordination with regional leaders,” SPA said.
The leaders, the report added, also acknowledged the mediation efforts led by Pakistan and “the endeavors of Qatar, which are aimed at reaching an agreement to halt escalation and bolster regional security and stability.”
Earlier Trump said that a memorandum of understanding on a peace deal has been “largely negotiated” with Iran and will open the Strait of Hormuz, with details to be unveiled soon.
“Final aspects and details of the Deal are currently being discussed, and will be announced shortly,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Trump posted the announcement after separate calls with the leaders of Muslim majority and Arab nations and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
