Beyonce, Topshop team up to launch athletic wear

Want a body like Beyonce’s? Now you can buy clothes she’s designed for exercising.

The 33-year-old singer announced Monday that she is merging with British retailer Topshop to launch the company, Parkwood TopShop Athletic Ltd. It is a 50/50 joint venture.

The clothing line will be available next fall.

Beyonce said in a statement that she “could not think of a better partner” as she continues to grow her production company, Parkwood Entertainment. She says she’s “always loved” Topshop and called the retailer “forward thinking.”

Beyonce first dabbled in fashion when she released the House of Dereon line alongside her mother a decade ago.
