UAE records 2,081 new COVID-19 cases, four deaths
The United Arab Emirates recorded 2,081 new COVID-19 cases and four deaths in the last 24 hours, the country’s national Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) reported on Thursday.
The country’s health authorities determined Thursday’s numbers after carrying out 203,232 coronavirus tests.

NCEMA also reported 1,842 coronavirus-related recoveries since Wednesday, bringing the UAE’s total recoveries up to 486,920, according to state news agency WAM.
Thursday’s numbers increased the country’s death toll to 1,565 and total number of cases recorded since the beginning of the outbreak to 504,872.
Over 65 percent of the UAE’s eligible population and almost 75 percent of the country’s elderly population have already been vaccinated against COVID-19, NCEMA reported.
